Producer Clinics & Knowledge Exchange

CIPA’s platforms offer networking opportunities and knowledge-sharing sessions on industry best practices, providing members with tools to navigate challenges and excel in their roles.

The DEI and Advocacy programs have taken a completely different meaning for CIPA since January 2025  (New executive orders, and after a one-on-one conversation about “advocacy and networks” with Matthew Covey during the APAP. )


  • Create an intake form to collect data and identify the CIPA membership and its needs geographically. 

  • Once I can access the newly collected CIPA data, I will implement more close/direct communication with direct members to start the CIPA/Regional Chapters. 

  • Create an online community to share information resources and converse among us on the strategies to fundraise and produce shows during these challenging times.

  • Participate in the regional conference (WAA), where the findings of this intake and online community will be addressed. in a panel 

  • Attending the CIPA Leadership meeting (1 hour/ every other week) 

  • Reading all the communications coming from the Field (NIVA, APAP, NEA, Mellon Foundation, Dance USA, Tamizdat, WOCA, NALAC, ACLU, etc)

  • Providing quotes and links to important information to share on the CIPA newsletter

  • Attending  and participating  in other networks via zoom  (IPC,  Latinoamericana de Productores Independientes, North American presenters group, where issues on visas, fundraising, civil rights, climate change, etc have been discussed.)
